Teaching At last....after covid and a sudden health problem, we are back at the helm again planning lots of new workshops both in my gallery and at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery. Since my own solo exhibition there in March 2019 I have had very close ties with the gallery and everyone who works there. It is an inspirational place to visit and even better to attend art workshops there. I have three monthly workshops this year and plan to do even more next year.
Demonstrations for a new product
New products from the Daniel Smith company of America...The Mini Marvel Set comprises of two small boxes each containing a massive 36 colour dots of fantastic watercolour. Both are for sale here in my shop under the heading of Art Products and Watercolour Paint. From now until the end of November these boxes are offered at a special introductory price.
Recently I was asked to create the two 'new products' videos which you can see above, They took some time to make as I am quite a perfectionist. They do not pretend to be professional in any way but they are from the heart. Both created with my old IPad and no editing!! Please be aware that due to the current lockdown that will probably last at least into the New Year there will not be any workshops at the gallery. Please contact Bee if you need any help or advice, firstname.lastname@example.org. Bee’s teaching career began in 1981 after she had graduated with her design degree. She worked part time at many local adult education centres in and around Manchester. Her very first job was to teach jewellery making to homeless males with a drink problem in a rehabilitation centre. As you might imagine no-one turned up.
New opportunities pop up and took Bee on cruise ships that sailed all around the world until 2009. In total Bee was artist in residence on 19 cruises. Other interesting assignments include working for ‘Mind’ in Bridlington, Burton Agnes Hall, Bridlington, various local art societies and long distance ones in the Isle of Man and the Hebrides.
Bee's two hour workshops in her own studio in Eccles on an every-other-week basis priced at £15 per session including all materials and refreshments. The programme covers a variety of images, landscapes, faces, flowers using watercolour, graphite and coloured pencils. This price will remain right through 2021.
