2019 was a very important year for Bee as she had a major exhibition in Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery beginning Saturday 9th March until Saturday 12th April 2019.
‘MOMENTS OF TIME AND SPACE’ is a collection of new work that captures a fleeting glimpse of a memory or one moment in time’.
Two visits to London later in the year proved to be very successful with a host of sales and a booking to be at the Barnet Guild of Artist Saturday workshop March 2020 teaching a very different way to paint flowers. The weekend exhibition at the Hampstead Garden Suberb was a great location with more sales of Bee’s designer jewellery and leather bags.
Two more pictures were accepted into the Stockport Open in July with a brand new painting technique. Street scenes are a recurring theme for Bee and this time she used a paint called Kyenite. A manufacturer in America creates watercolour paints from semi precious stones but the one that Bee used on these pictures shimmers with a silvery hue.
The year ended with a very important commission from an art manufacturer which will appear on the market mid summer 2020.
This is a celebration year as it will be Bee’s fortieth year after graduating from art college and forty years as an art tutor. Watch out for the special book that Bee is writing and illustrating at the moment. This will be published on 4th July and there will be details on the website of how to buy this special book called Graphtastic.
