Gallery in the Garden On-Line Shop Expanding

We are all very excited over here in Manchester. Even though the garden around the gallery is deep in its winter sleep, inside its cosy wooden walls complete with a fabulous new roof, the shelves are stacked with lots more handmade products all from Bee’s own busy hands.

Make sure when you next visit to see the Bargain Basement department where there are an amazing 41 products on sale. Lots more new things to see over the next few months.

Gallery in the Garden

Gallery in the garden is a real place set in a wooden cabin in my garden. Built about ten years ago for me to teach and paint in a quiet relaxing environment. Over the years it has matured in colour and in the summer it has purple wisteria and white lace cap hydrangea in front of it. This is a very special place normally busy with students arriving for the different classes and one day courses. Not so at present. But the studio has now taken on a new role as an on-line shop which will grow from strength to strength as I add all my new designs and ideas…but basically it is just me in my design studio. But you can be sure that you are buying something direct from the artist.

October 2020

Hi and welcome to the latest news. As you can imagine I have been very busy getting all my products together for this new shop...Gallery in the Garden. Over the next few weeks you will see more of my ‘arty’ products and a brand new section containing free to watch videos about new art products and some of my secret techniques some of which are already in my books. These videos will be a very watchable 3 to 4 minutes in length and will be called Snapshots.

September 2020

As we approach September 2020 I will have a brand new On-Line Shop here on my website….it will be called Gallery in the Garden. Watch out for the developing news each couple of days.

Spring Workshops

We have fantastic one-day workshops coming up this spring, see below the list of workshops which we have kept it to our 2018 prices.

News 2019/2020

2019 was a very important year for Bee as she had a major exhibition in Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery beginning Saturday 9th March until Saturday 12th April 2019.

‘MOMENTS OF TIME AND SPACE’ is a collection of new work that captures a fleeting glimpse of a memory or one moment in time’.

Two visits to London later in the year proved to be very successful with a host of sales and a booking to be at the Barnet Guild of Artist Saturday workshop March 2020 teaching a very different way to paint flowers. The weekend exhibition at the Hampstead Garden Suberb was a great location with more sales of Bee’s designer jewellery and leather bags.

Two more pictures were accepted into the Stockport Open in July with a brand new painting technique.  Street scenes are a recurring theme for Bee and this time she used a paint called Kyenite.  A manufacturer in America creates watercolour paints from semi precious stones but the one  that Bee used on these pictures shimmers with a silvery hue.

The year ended with a very important commission from an art manufacturer which will appear on the market mid summer 2020.

2020

This is a celebration year as it will be Bee’s fortieth year after graduating from art college and forty years as an art tutor.  Watch out for the special book that Bee is writing and illustrating at the moment. This will be published on 4th July and there will be details on the website of how to buy this special book called Graphtastic.

EXHIBITION IN MARCH 2019

This is a very important year for Bee as she has a major exhibition in Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery beginning Saturday 9th March until Saturday 12th April 2019.

‘MOMENTS OF TIME AND SPACE’ is a collection of new work that captures a fleeting glimpse of a memory or one moment in time.

A completely new painting technique has allowed Bee to produce some really atmospheric work.  There will be a group of framed prints as well as larger original pieces for sale.  These can be seen in one of the galleries called the Art Space situated to the rear past the reception desk on the left hand side.

At the same time there will be a small cabinet displaying some of Bee’s jewellery. Look out also for Bee’s own art instruction books and cards.

The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday 1 – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.
