BEE'S RESIDENTIAL ART HOLIDAYS

CREATIVE SKETCHBOOKS 2019

I will be offering two separate residential art holidays next year; one in the spring (March) and one in the autumn (October/November).    It will be a while yet before I get the dates for the first course but you can still email me on beemorrison1@yahoo.co.uk to register your interest for either course.

CREATIVE SKETCHBOOKS 2018

We arrived in torrential rain for the first event so unpacking was very uncomfortable but after that all was bright and blue-skies for the most part. This trip was designed to find different views from previous years. Our first trip was a couple of miles up the Conwy mountain to Sychnant Pass.  As you drive over the top there is a wonderful view down the valley with Anglesey in the distance.

Then we found an amazing place called Pensychnant, which is a 120 acre nature reserve situated right at the top of Conwy mountain.  It has a fabulous Arts and Crafts style house.  On the second trip the house was open and we had a chance to draw both the inside and the outside.

NORTH WALES 2017

How lucky are we with the weather?   Another great trip. This time I had enough students for a second event just with a few days off in between.  Our main outing was to Bodnant Garden for a whole day and the weather was stunning.  Too early for the yellow arch of Laburnum but plenty of other stunning views.

FIRST ART HOLIDAY TO CONWY, NORTH WALES 2016

A very successful trip where we occupied the whole of a beautiful hotel, the Castlebank situated just outside the town walls and within easy reach of everything that this lovely town can offer.  This was just perfect for our 4 day Sketching and Painting trip.

Here are some of my sketches showing just one of the castle gates where you can just see some of the lovely quaint cottages through the opening.

The middle sketch on the right is one of the little lanes that thread their way though Conwy. Just over the hill and on the right hand side is the Royal Cambrian Art Gallery, well worth a visit. The sketch on the left of the group is the Smallest House in Britain.
