I have written and illustrated many books and have had numerous articles published both on art techniques and jewellery making.
The first book 'Beginning Watercolours' took 10 years to find the right publisher and emerged in 2004. It was based on 16 Watercolour Worksheets published a few years earlier which were double sided instruction sheets with the finished picture on one side and all the information to complete the painting on the back. Although the book is sadly out of print four of the most popular worksheets are still available in the section called 'Other Art Products'.
After some time trying to get the next book published with no luck at all, I decided at that point to self publish. 'Brushmarks for Flowers' was the first book in 2007 to get printed in this way. This quickly won the accolade 'Book of the Year' in 2008 by Henry Malt's 'Art Book Review' website (see the link below). The second book in the trilogy 'Brushmarks' was called 'Brushmarks for Trees' . The third book entitled 'Brushmarks for People' is yet to be written.
Both have a distinctive house style offering basic techniques with a huge number of illustrations.
